Dear Autozone: You and the horse you rode in on. I got an e-mail - TopicsExpress

Dear Autozone: You and the horse you rode in on. I got an e-mail that said I have a $20 credit expiring on the 29th, which I did not know about. So, I found something I needed and went to the local store. Showed them the e-mail and told them to apply that to my purchase. They need the original rewards card, which I have no idea where it is. To EARN rewards, they use my phone number which is LINKED to that rewards number. But, to cash in one of those rewards, I need the card. They offered me another card that I could register and have the rewards transferred to. Nope. Bye. Considered ordering on-line for in-store pickup. Foiled again. They cannot accept gift cards or rewards for on-line ordering, those are only valid in a store. When I shop at K-Mart, after I give them my phone number for their rewards program, the clerk usually tells me that I have $X in points, and asks if I would like to apply them to the current purchase. THAT is what I expect in whatever century we are currently in.
