Dear BIR Commissioner Kim Henares, As a Dentist I would like to express my disapproval of the new directive you are drafting. Its good that you are trying to promote transparency to discourage tax evasion among self-employed professionals but I would just like to point out, as it was discussed in our Practice management class when I was in college that in Article III Section 19 and 20 of the Code of Ethics for dentists, dental hygienist, and dental technologist, such act of posting in our clinics and offices the rates we charge to our patients can degrade the dignity of the profession. I think it is inappropriate. In our clinic, we make sure our patients are informed and that we discuss our rates and procedures to them before any procedure is done. I have nothing against you and I know you mean well but I find this new directive unnecessary and derogatory. I hope you change your mind and think of something else. :) I know sooner or later other professionals will speak up too and you will have to rethink this directive. I would just like to thank you in advance. :) -Random thoughts before sleeping. I just had to say something.
