Dear Badminton Players, I am looking forward to seeing you all at the Dorset Country Trials on Sunday 15th September 2013 at the "Ray Moore Sports Hall at Portchester School, Harewood Avenue, Bournemouth, BH7 6NZ (which is at the back of Avonbourne Sports Hall) times are 1.00-3.00pm on seven Badminton courts. I am expecting all players who wish to join the Senior Squads to attend the Dorset Senior Trials. Please do let me know if you cannot attend the Trials or that you are not able to enter the Restricted and/or Dorset Silver Tournament. Attendance at the Trials will be part of the selection procedure combined with results from the Dorset Restricted Tournament which the singles will be on Friday 27th September 18.15 for the men and 19:00 for the woman at Portchester School and then the Doubles Restricted Tournament at Portchester School, mens doubles starting at 10:00 and womans doubles at 11:00 then mixed at 13:00. The Dorset County Silver Badminton Tournament will be on Saturday 26th October at Sir David English Sports Centre, East Way, Bournemouth BH8 9PZ, 9.00am -9.00pm. All the results from these events will be carefully considered when making the initial selections for all three county teams. Once the initial selections have been made for the County Teams, county match results will be recorded and taken into account for selection for the county teams through the season. Everyone will be notified whether or not they have been successful in obtaining a place in the County Senior Squad by either on the day or no later than the evening of Sunday 15th September 2013 by email. My goal is to put Dorset back on the map and certainly a County to be reckoned with. More information will be to follow regarding training times and venue.
