Dear Bob Thomas and Friend’s, I would first like to thank you - TopicsExpress

Dear Bob Thomas and Friend’s, I would first like to thank you all for giving me a chance to start a new diet with equipment that I could not normally afford. I am at the beginning of my path for curing myself from this stupid unnecessary evil. Here is just the start of my story. My name is Levi Webb, I am 23 years old, and started college a few years ago at NMC in Traverse City Michigan. Just last spring semester I graduated from NMC and obtained my Associates in Science and arts. Some of the things I love to do is Snowboarding, Longboarding, and Freebording. In the winter I teach snowboarding, and in the summer I cook at the number 1 Cambria Suites in the country currently (not after my surgery though). I finally started to go to business school this fall semester to obtain my Bachelors in Business. I was able to do some on-line stuff through Davenport University, and some classes through the NMC University center. That was my current situation until I started feeling some pain in my lower parts. I had a few lumps that I thought was just constricted veins. I really never thought anything of it for almost 4 years. I started to feel the pain in the middle of summer of 2013. I kept telling my father about it but, was reluctant to go to a hospital because, I did not have insurance. I sucked it up half way through my first semester of Davenport and, went to the doc... I really was hoping that it was a bag of worms, or something of a wonderful self-diagnosis from WebMD. The doctor I did go to thought that maybe it was a bag of worms and decided to get me an, appointment at the ultrasound clinic at Munson hospital. It was about 20 days after my initial checkup that this was scheduled for. I was very reluctant to go in because, I did not have medical insurance or money to obtain it. None the less my mother begged me to go so I went. After the examination 20 minutes later I received a phone call from Dr. Mara my new primary free clinic physician. She told me I had tumors, and that I talk to her right away. I went in, and she just told me over and over that I had to have a left Orchiectomy. Removal of my ball. She sent me to the surgeon the same day, and he had already scheduled surgery the next day. This is when I knew at this point that things were getting very serious very fast. The weeping came, and gone just as the surgery did to. It was shocking. This happened 2 weeks ago on Sep. 25. No health insurance the whole way. I think they might get 15 bucks a month from me at the most unfortunately. The other bummer was that I had to drop some of my classes because they were accelerated classes that were 15 weeks crammed into 7. I basically couldn’t keep up after missing a few weeks. The diagnosis came last week, and the test were done. The surgeon told me that it was most likely cancer, and that I would most likely need chemo. He told me this last week Wednesday. The reports came back from my CT scans, chest x-ray, and my pathology. Unfortunately the surgeon was right I have cancer. The good part was that the cancer had not spread too far. They think that it has invaded some of my lymph nodes in my abdomen but, only three which to me was great news. This made me feel better that the lymph nodes where not over swollen because, I just am not ready for more surgery yet. I was prepared for the worst so the outcome was better because, I assumed the length of time that I had lived with this would have made the cancer spread faster, concluding more surgery. Especially since this is more of an aggressive cancer from what I have heard and read. Today is the day I have my first Oncologist appointment today. I believe that chemo is in my future but, this will not get me down. I am a person that loves life!! And I plan on whipping cancer right in its evil ass!!! Thank You Very Much Sincerely, Levi Webb
