Dear Brothers and Sisters, Today marks an historic day for our church and in particular for all those whose lives have been touched by a Saint of our generation, a Saint who had such a massive impact in Greece and the whole world. Today Elder Paisios was announced as the newest Saint of the Orthodox Church by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Saint Paisios was always revered as a Saintly person even whilst in life. I had the great honour of meeting him on numerous occasions as a student of the Athonias Ecclesiastical Academy of Mount Athos in 1992, and receiving his blessing. Attached are some photos of Saint Paisios how I remember him and also and Icon of him. May we all have his blessing and his intercession to God for all of our spiritual ailments.
