Dear CLAT 2014 Takers and their Parents, Today I have been working to resolve this issue by talking to the correct people who can be effective in solving this issue. This is what I have been able to comprehend about the problem so far and this is what I have communicated to those who can influence the issue to get resolved (including GNLU). I am writing a brief note of the same. Please post your thoughts on the same. This will all of us. Let us discuss. 1. The cut off can not be so high. I am sure marks of few people are in incorrectly high. 2. If you keep both CLAT papers of 2013 and 2014 together and compare then you will feel as if CLAT 2014 was set keeping 2013 in front of the setter. 3. At least 10 tougher questions were there in CLAT 2014 GK section in comparison to that of 2013. This must have affected those deserving top 1000 rank because GK is the fastest way to score. The number of easy and average questions was the same. Thus, there was no effect on those who deserved to rank below 3000 Rank. In fact I expect that 3000 to 6000 rank cut off will go high by 10-15 marks. This is because the easiness must have only helped those who deserved a rank below 1000. For the top 1000 rankers, having more number of easy questions of English and LA was not a big benefit because time is only 2 hours. Moreover the paper was lengthier. In total number of pages were 6 more than last year. Thus, I see no possibility of NLSIU cut off going higher by 18 marks. 4. I am also sure that some marks are exactly and almost correct. This i have checked personally. 5. I am also sure that wrong answer key has been used for majority. A gap of 100 marks can only occur in such case. 6. I can not rule out the possibility of using a wrong calculation formula. 7. The bar code issue is correct but that is a very trifle issue. 8. GNLU is probably very smartly trying not to accept the real mistake because this can put them in deep trouble if they have to face a case. This is what was done by CLAT 2012. After faltering on wrong syllabus, Wrong questions, wrong answers and wrong allotment list, they never accepted any except the fault of wrong allotment list. This helped them to take full advantage of the faulty Indian Judicial system, where justice comes after it is of no use. High court accepted the wrong answers but after an year. 9. GNLU, Take out the complete merit list of 2013 and compare with your faulty list of 2014. You will get the answer. You will be shocked to see the marks of rank 15000 and below. 10. There is a need of centralized body. I am extremely sorry for not answering most of the queries so far. This is because i was very busy in resolving this issue and my work load at IMS is huge (peak time). I look after more than 10 courses and 100 exams. But, i am sure answering will be more relevant and useful after CLAT results. I will definitely take all queries after CLAT results (Inbox me). All is well and All will be well !!!
