Dear Central Waterside Friends and Family, I am so excited - TopicsExpress

Dear Central Waterside Friends and Family, I am so excited about the life of our church and the plans God has for us. This past week, I have spend time with the other Central pastors as we shared stories of Gods work in our other campuses from Las Vegas, Australia, Arizona, Utah, and Alaska. God is so good and is leading us ways that are so refreshing and powerful. Each week I get excited when I think about the life changes that are happening because we are here in this community. I praise God for the opportunity to share in Kristen Morgans baptism and profession of faith a few weeks ago. I get goosebumps when I read the kind thank you letters from flood victim families who our church helped in their recovery. I pause to honor God when I think about how addictions are being broken and how families are being reconciled. Its humbling to watch Gods grace move through our community because of your efforts. Thank you for being on the team and getting in the game. Each time you invite someone to join us, each time you make a donation, each time you pause to pray for our outreach, each time you behave differently because of Christ in your life, you are being the church. Thanks for offering me the opportunity to be your pastor as you so sacrificially do church in our community. As we look ahead, consider the following: 1) This week: We will continue our series Freeway as we look at how Discovery can lead us toward a life of freedom. I will share about Jesuss parable about the Kingdom of God being like a treasure hidden in a field. Its a powerful story of discovery and the life change that happens when we discover the gospel. Brett and the band our leading the music and our normal childrens activities will be upstairs. Sunday is a special one because of the opportunity we have to get hear about our Haiti mission work opportunity. Jabina Jaboin is going to be sharing about ways we can get involved in making a difference in this impoverished country. Through David Leslies leadership and with the blessing of our LOT Team, we are focusing our foreign outreach this year toward Haiti. Please see the note below for more information. 2) Haiti Mission: Has God put missions or Haiti on your heart? Please see David Leslie this Sunday in the entrance area to see how to use your gifts with our Haiti Mission! Meet Jabina Jaboin Sunday before our 9am service, she will be speaking during the service about the Haiti mission! Jabina’s family is our contact in Haiti and has offered to donate the site for our partnership. She is currently attending a Miami college and goes on mission trips as well. Jabina’s 94 year old grandmother lives where we want to spread the gospel. We are now accepting donations for the first step, having a water well drilled. We need $13,000 to have “Water For Life Missions” drill the well. If you feel led to give please make your donations out to Central Waterside Church and note “Haiti” on your check. This is a long term commitment to the area and we can use everyone who is interested. Please pray about getting involved and contact me for more information.
