Dear Changemakers! This time, I am writing to update you with the highlights and pictures from the Rotary Club of Tiruvannamalai s Family participation and Foundation month celebrations that were held on 24th November (Yesterday). Highlights: * A generous sum of One Lakh Rupees that was contributed by the 9th (Ninth) standard students of Mount St Joseph school, in response to our Child for Child Campaigning to aid in Rotarys global fight against polio ,was handed over benevolently by the schools Principal, Sister.Kiran, in the form of Demand Draft, drawn in favor of The Rotary Foundation. * The Director of Annamalai Matric School, Rtn. Auditor. S.Prabakaran, whose students kickstarted our Child for Child Campaigning, by their splendid contribution of Twenty Six Thousand Eight Hundred Rupees, was honored. * 19(Nineteen) Rotarians, who have contributed between $50 and $100 towards TRF during their Wedding Days/ Birthdays,through the EREY(Every Rotarian Every Year) Initiative,for the sake of doing good in the world through Rotary, were applauded and appreciated. * Two new members, Rtn.R. Dhananjayan, MD-Lakshmi Group of companies and Rtn.Dr.T.Vijaybabu (B.N.Y.S.,), a well known Yoga and Naturopathy specialist,were inducted into the Rotary family. * Two high school head masters and two elementary school teachers from Tiruvannamalai, who were conferred with Dr.Radhakrishnan Award by our State Government, were appreciated and honored by our club. Many thanks to Rtn.Muthu Palaniappan, District Rotary Foundation Chairman for gracing the occasion as the chief guest and enlightening the gathering with a witty , insightful and brilliant speech. Our Heartfelt thanks also to Rtn. K.S. Srinivasan, District Grant Sub-Committe Chairman,for inciting us with many ideas and suggestions for coming up with a signature project. kudos to Rtn.Er.A. Dhanusu, Foundation Chairman- RC Tiruvannamalai for his untiring efforts and achievements! Thanks to Rtn. Narayanamoorthy, Chairman-Family participation and all the Rotarians, who have worked for the success of this program.
