Dear Club Member/Supporter 1st February 2014 Re: Club Development Plans I wish to bring you up to date now with progress on the proposed Club Development. We have planning permission, we are shortly to submit building regulations, and we are preparing a specification to go out to tender to local builders. We have a guide price for Grant Applications, of £200,000 + VAT for Phase 1 (Toilet Block, Clubhouse extension, New Boiler and Septic Tank/etc) and £250,000 + VAT for Phase 2 (Changing Rooms Complex and New Roof). We have applied for the following grants: Sports England £50,000, NNDC Big Society £15,000, Norse Landfill Tax £20,000, RFU World Cup Campaign £10,000, and some Family Charitable Trusts. There will be more. If successful, and we should have decisions by end of March, there could be £100,000 to come in from these sources which means we need to raise a further £100,000 to get on and complete Phase 1, and we would like to be able to start this on 1st May 2014. If we can do this we would look to fund Phase 2 at the end of the 2014/2015 season, and we would have further ideas on how to do this. WE THEREFORE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP NOW We are looking for personal donations towards a minimum of 1000 bricks at £100 each (With a completed Gift Aid Form which is enclosed, this can bring in a further 25%). The idea would be to have a Board up in the new extended Clubhouse showing the names of the donees (unless people wish to remain anonymous). These donations would be by way of a Try for £1000 (10 bricks), a Penalty for £500 (5 bricks), a conversion for £100 (1 brick). There is no restriction on the number of tries, penalties or conversions for each person or groups of persons (eg: there may be people who wish to run say a coffee morning to raise £100 and this is perfectly acceptable). We are entering very exciting times for Holt RFC, and this is your chance to make a real difference to all sectors of the Club. I look forward to receiving your cheque, Acknowledgement Form, and completed Gift Aid Form, as soon as possible.
