Dear Co-Cancer Survivors, Thank you for your continued love, - TopicsExpress

Dear Co-Cancer Survivors, Thank you for your continued love, support and prayers. Your prayers and thoughts have sustained us through some difficult days. We thank God for all the answered prayers regarding the hyperthermia treatment and pain management. All in all I don’t feel much pain now, but I am VERY uncomfortable due to the fluid buildup in my abdomen. I have not been able to eat and drink properly since the treatment, with little energy and can’t do much more than rest most of the time. We just met with the team of doctors today and they ordered another paracentesis (aspirate excess fluid from my abdomen) to be done this afternoon. They also discussed putting a port in to allow for nutritional support but that will be done only if I still can’t eat after the paracentesis. We continue to meet some really great people and we quickly bond. That makes this morning’s news that a beautiful friend and fellow cancer fighter passed away last night. Sylvia (‘Silv’) was 38 years old and had the whole clinic cheering and praying for her to get better as she seemed to be doing. Her family was in to visit her on Monday – lots of laughing and loving – just what is needed. There were many tears shed this morning as the news got around. I am very eager to get home. I want to see and be with my girls! I miss them so much! Prayer Requests: For a safe and effective paracentisis, it is a procedure that if not done correctly, can be dangerous. That I can regain energy and strength That my body can continue to fight this nasty, merciless cancer Love, Carolina and Craig Live in the PRESENT, so you wont dwell in the PAST or worry about the FUTURE
