Dear Colleagues and Friends, We are honored to invite You to the upcoming 10th International CROatian Student Summit for students and young scientist in the field of biomedicine. • The tenth congress will take place from 9 to 12 April 2014 at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, Šalata 3. • This is a project which was started by the School of Medicine Student Association at the University of Zagreb in the academic year 2004/2005, in collaboration with the School of Dental Medicine, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the University of Zagreb. • In the course of the last several years, this congress has found its place as one of leading congresses in the field of biomedicine among students from both Croatia and abroad. • The topic of this years CROSS is „Oncology“, one of the most interesting and exciting fields in medicine, which is known to grow so fast that the need for exchanging information of progress in various procedures is just obligatory. So that is why we have some of our own and foreign esteemed professors to provide us with information in Epidemiology, Internal medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Children oncology, etc. We believe the meaning of researching is sharing the new information so that our knowledge can grow, and so we all have the same opportunity to be better physicians one day. • We provided workshops where you can upgrade your knowledge of BLS, ALA, suturing, etc. How can you participate? • If you are a student in the field of biomedicine in Croatia or abroad, or if you are a young scientist who has graduated in the field of biomedicine, you are most welcome to participate at the congress. • You can participate either by attending lectures and all other events, or by presenting your scientific work (either with a poster or by oral presentation) which CAN, but doesnt have to be related to the main topic. • You can apply for participation at the congress electronically via our Internet page. The aim of this congress is to provide an opportunity for students and young scientists at the very beginning of their careers to realize how important it is to participate at such events as part of their further education, not only as a way of getting new infomation in the field of biomedicine, but also as an opportunity to establish important connections with people in the same field.
