Dear Devu Chodankar: I would like to comment on your earliar - TopicsExpress

Dear Devu Chodankar: I would like to comment on your earliar thread that is post to Mr. D. N. Falari, 1)I sometimes I agree with your statements against brahmanical institution. I would Like to quote one joke : once one person visited electrical appliance shop and he points to one device and asked the shopkeeper(SK) price of TV (how much is that television for ) and SK replied we don’t sell TV to fools. So this person was shocked that how he can call him a fool. This person leaves the premises’ and come back some other time by changing his attire completely (thinking that SK will not Identify him ). He asks the same question how much is that TV for and again the SK replies with same answer “we don’t sell TV to fools ” . this was repeated 4-5 times and finally that person asks the SK, why you are calling me fool again and again and how do u come to know that I the same person who came earlier , although I am coming here by changing my attire completely . SK replied my dear sir , the device which you are pointing as TV is not actually a TV but it is an Microwave Oven, hence it was very easy to identify you as a fool. So moral of the story is before buying TV we should know what TV is, either all or at least some of its characteristics } { similarly before saying anything to brahmanas or brahmanical institution we should know what brahmana is . otherwise we are like that fool }. Today the so called brahmanas who are simply wearing 50 paisa thread claiming themselves to be Brahman who does not know what qualities a Brahman should have{there are genuine Brahmanas also }. There 26 qualities{or at least few of them } which is expected from a person who claims himself to be to Brahman. I will list them here { qualities (1) He is very kind to everyone. (2) He does not make anyone his enemy. (3) He is truthful (4) He is equal to everyone.(5) No one can find any fault in him. (6) He is magnanimous. (7) He is mild. (8) He is always clean. (9) He is without possessions. (10) He works for everyones benefit. (11) He is very peaceful. (12) He is always surrendered to God. (13) He has no material desires. (14) He is very meek. (15) He is steady. (16) He controls his senses. (17) He does not eat more than required. (18) He is not influenced by the Lords illusory energy. (19) He offers respect to everyone. (20) He does not desire any respect for himself. (21) He is very grave. (22) He is merciful. (23) He is friendly. (24) He is poetic. (25) He is expert. (26) He is silent. } I would like to quote following verse janmana jayate sudrah samskarat dwij uchchte veda pathnat bhavet viprah brahma janati iti brahmanah “By birth one is a sudra by the purificatory process one becomes a dvija, by study of the Vedas one becomes a vipra, and one who knows Brahman is a brahmana.” These verses are from Athreya Smrithi(141-142 Fifth Mandala (Book 5) of the Rig Veda). See the last line... There are Vipras everywhere. But Brahmanas are rare... And a Brahmana is not necessarily a Vipra... Let the caste fanatics see these verses... I don’t know how much you are appreciating Vedas : but withought knowing something , rejecting is also not good . {just as once one prof of physics went to one village and happen to met one farmer and started telling him about how mass can be converted into energy i.e. E=mc^2 and that poor farmer said I reject this theory without any justified reason. Do u think that this farmer has any right to reject this theory without understanding what that theory is. Similarly we don’t have any right to accept or reject anything withought understanding it properly .an intelligent person will try to find out what exactly the matter is and it is their choice whether to accept or reject }. My humble request to all the Brahmans (who claims themselves to be ) to acquired ,all or atleast some of the qualities which is listed above which will make the society peaceful. I am also working on it. 2.) you mentioned about Portuguese that they were better . I am not agreeing with this point of yours. Historians has told us many things about india, one important topic is invasion in India. There were different invasions that took place in India by different people. Initially this people came as a traders , that is what is being told to us by modern history. But the entire world knew that the wealth that India had in different forms not only gold but also in the form of knowledge. Actually we can disscuss more on this. But I will stop here may be can start a new thread on this topic . In essence what I would like to tell you is first study nicely, specially the Goan history properly. If you are really interested in Doing good to Goan or for that matter anybody. Otherwise just forget it . Thanking you for reading..
