Dear Eskom, I hereby regret to inform you that my bank account is currently at stage 3 of load-shedding. I am therefore unable to shed any further funds to pay my utility bill at this time, due to my remaining reserves being depleted, without me managing to top-up my dwindling supply adequately during the week. As soon as it comes back down to stage 2 again, I will, however, try and make a part-payment on the outstanding balance.. Although it should not be viewed as a full-blown crisis at this time, I expect that this dismal situation is expected to continue (on-and-off) for the next 12 months, and possibly even longer than that. Please accept my humble apologies for being unable to deliver on my account. Yours truly FRED STEYN
