Dear FB family please send your Power Prayers this morning for Harvey! Surgery #16 today. Im so angry right now you have no idea!!! Harvey should have had his nose re-built and in place already. Three or was it four surgeries ago was the Micro Vascular 12 hour surgery that was supposed to replace the lining of his nose...well when that healed, it shrunk and part of the hole was exposed. That surgery was done primarily by a Micro Vascular surgeon with Dr. Burget participating. Then I think they did another to make some adjustments. Then that shrunk. Then two surgeries ago Dr. Burget said he was going to do two forehead flaps...one to fix the lining and one that would actually be the outside of his nose that is done later with a bone/rib graft, once the lining is correct to build upon. So that one messes up, gets infected, stitches fall out and shrinks...so again the very last surgery according to him all was corrected. NOT! Now this one shrunk again and came loose in one section, plus pulled up Harveys nostrils in an weird position. Ok 3-4 strikes...uuuuuuur out! Time to maybe grab more skin, tend to wound differently, maybe keep it moist...whatever...but what your doing is not working HELLO?!!! Harvey came in this last Thursday and went directly from airport to Burgets office. He gives Harvey some song and dance act, maybe this, maybe that, maybe a plastic nose. Now this morning he comes into the cubicle where they have Harvey ready for surgery and says that he thought about this all last night and hes going to go backwards and try to arrange the existing skin and redo the forehead flap again. I look at him (ghetto) and Harvey starts sobbing. I gently start asking questions and either get no real answer or nothing either one of us wanted to hear. I was questioned why am I looking at him like this? I maintained and keep quiet...yep I keep quiet basically but he knew what I was thinking. This doc doesnt like informed family members that ask questions...back awhile ago he went crazy on me and almost dropped Harvey midstream as a patient. I dont even go to the office anymore...Harvey and I discuss and then he talks to Burget. I only see him on surgery days. All I know is he better get it right this time! May GOD and the angels watch and guide him well during this surgery...and I called in a special Buddy angel in too, we need some muscle. Everybody please send over some magic...Harvey deserves it...lets do this! —Rose (Harveys sister)
