Dear Facebook friends, many of you saw and responded to the message on facebook from my dear and good brother Les, telling you that i had been broken into and that my laptop with all my data was stolen, along with the only piece of valuable jewellery i had which was given to me by my 89 year old friend. It has been a distressing time. The mess was unspeakable and i am still nervous about leaving the house. But family and friends have been marvellous, and i am gradually getting online again, and becoming a little less nervous. The housebreakers would have been disappointed as it happens - i have no flat screen tv, no hifi system, no ipad etc etc. This message is to say that words are indequate to describe my gratitude for all the kind and concerned messages i have received. But greater still is my inadequacy to describe the feeling i had when i discovered an anonymous gift of utterly astonishing generosity. If anyone/a number of people reading this is/are responsible for such A BEAUTIFUL GIFT , then please know that at a time of great darkness you gave me a gift that is both tangible and intangible. You restored my faith in human goodness. (Having said that, i feel sorry for the young men - probably young men - who made such a mess of my home and created so much distress for me. What kind of life do they have and what level of emotional deprivation have they suffered from birth . No young person who has a sense of purpose and a sense of her/his value would be prompted to such a very sad way to earn what is probably much less than the value of what they have taken. ). with love , Joycexx
