Dear Family & Friends, It was 20 years ago that we ventured out on the first Brulé performance in Rapid City, SD. Two decades later we are preparing for our 3rd summer season at High Country Guest ranch near Hill City. It’s obvious that South Dakota and the Black Hills have had a monumental impact and influence on us over the years. It’s easy to see now, but during the course of time the steps were so gradual that they passed without much notice. That is the way life goes, and of course, all have been great journeys and adventures. It is only with the perspective of vast passages of time that we get an occasional glimpse of the big picture. How fortunate and blessed we have been to work together as a family, to do something we truly love, and to carry an important mission in our hearts. Words fall short in trying to express our gratitude to all who have supported us over the years, but never the less, it is important to attempt. So in that regard, we extend a heartfelt and loving “thank you” to all of you for yet another great year. As we enter our 3rd decade, the next chapter of Brulé comes better into focus. The humanitarian cause has taken on a greater sense of urgency. As we all review our life journey from time to time our legacy begins to take shape. It requires more time and attention than simple pursuit of a career. It catches up with you in the final chapter of life and sharpens up your focus and drive. So it goes with Brulé. In looking forward, our hope is to live up to the expectations and opportunities that you, our dear friends, have provided for us; through years of unwavering belief and conviction that a small group of like minded musicians could make a difference in the world. To that we make a commitment to continue to do our very best, to confront the negative forces head on, to help others along the way, to make good music, and to continue to pioneer the last musical frontier.
