Dear Family & Friends: Whether you are a Republican, a Democrat, or an Independent, I think you’ll agree that our country is in a state of turmoil and jeopardy. With that said, it is important that we elect someone as president in 2016 that can restore our country’s values and standing in the world after the disastrous terms of Barack Obama. We need someone who can revive our economy and provide job opportunities and better pay for all Americans, regardless of race, creed, or color. I am part of a grass-roots effort to draft Mitt Romney to pursue and accept the Republican nomination for President in 2016. If you voted for Mitt in 2012 you already know his value and the skills he would bring to the office. If you did not vote for Mitt in 2012 or did not vote at all, please bear in mind that his predictions for a second Obama term were eerily accurate. He correctly assessed everything from the problems with Obamacare, to the IRS suppression of conservative groups, to the incompetent handling and subsequent cover-up of the Benghazi terrorist attack, to the failings of Obama’s economic policies, plus many more. He clearly understands that government does not create jobs … businesses do. While some believe that Gov. Romney is not conservative enough for their liking, please keep in mind that the demographics of the American electorate have changed. The only way the Republicans will win the White House going forward is by appealing not only to the Republican base, but also to Independents and moderate Democrats. A candidate who appeals only to the far right-wing of the Republican Party will not win a national election. With that said, we need someone who has executive experience, a track record of success in business and government, advances common sense solutions, and has a willingness to work with all members of Congress to achieve prosperity for the American people. Mitt Romney possesses these skills and, because he loves America so much, he will work tirelessly on behalf of all Americans to grow our economy and defend our citizenry. Therefore, I ask that you consider joining us as we endeavor to convince Mitt and his wife, Ann, to make one more attempt to seek the presidency and restore this great country of ours. Any of the three links will work and all will take you to the same website. Once the petition reaches a convincing number, we plan to present our appeal directly to Gov. & Mrs. Romney and ask them to consider serving our great nation as President and First Lady. We currently have over 150,000 signatures on our petition and that will grow exponentially now that the mid-term elections are over. Through a surrogate, Mitt asked us not to pursue the petition over the last several months while he worked diligently to help elect Republicans. He did not want to be the focus of attention when reclaiming the Senate was a priority. Humility is a trait that he embraces well. There are others who will be pursuing the Republican nomination, too. However, in all polls in which Mitt Romney’s name is included, he far outdistances the other candidates, sometimes by as much as three times the next nearest contender. In addition, he is the only one of the group that beats Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical matchup. All the others lose.
