Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues: As you know, on Friday September 26, 2014, Allen was in a severe single person motorcycle accident while riding with his buddies and enjoying the Bikes, Blues, and BBQ bike rally in Arkansas. Allen sustained numerous injuries including: • Compound fracture on his left ankle that due to a stubborn nasty infection was operated on 3 times • Unilateral fracture of the C7 (Neck) • Sprained right ankle • Bruising and asphyxiation of his lungs • And the most significant traumatic brain injury (sheering, contusions, bruising, bleeding) which is referred to a TBI Allen was at Washington Regional Medical Center for 11 days; Nebraska Medicine for 14 days, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital for almost 10 weeks, and is currently recovering, through an individualized therapy program, at Quality Living Inc. (QLI). Many of you have asked, “What can I do to help?” Of course the number #1 answer has been and continues to be to keep Allen in your prayers asking for our God to place His Healing Hand over Allen. Thank you for those endless prayers!!! If you would like to visibly show your support for Allen’s recovery from TBI, we have created a wrist band. The wrist band which is in the TBI color of kelly green has two phrases “I support H.A.T.” (Allen’s full name is Hilton Allen Taylor) and “TBI Awareness” on the wristband. A minimum donation of $20.00 is requested of which the funds will be allocated to Allen’s medical expenses.
