Dear Family, Friends and Corporate America, I am inviting you to be a part of a new and exciting journey with me as I participate in the Chesapeake/Virginia Beach (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc’s Fourteenth Annual Beautillion Militaire Leadership Training and Scholarship Program. The Beautillion program offers young men leadership training skills and provides a forum to enhance one’s social skills. This adventurous and challenging program will provide me with leadership skills that will enhance my social skills while having the opportunity to shadow positive professional mentors. Throughout my high school career I have remained an Advanced Studies Diploma scholar, maintaining a solid 3.7 GPA, all the meanwhile receiving numerous awards and honors. I am a member of several organizations including: the Magnificent Marching Warriors Marching Band and the Boy’s Track/Cross Country team. Within the band, I am the trumpet section leader and always yearn to further my musical career while keeping my academics sharp. Furthermore, I will be a participant of the first graduating class within the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program. PLTW is a four year, pre-collegiate, engineering program revolving around the foundations of engineering and is the first of its kind in Suffolk, Virginia. The program has highly influenced me to pursue a career within the engineering field and apply to the various colleges including the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), which I will be attending in the fall. I am requesting your financial support in which you can help me achieve my leadership goals by purchasing an ad or sponsor me via the patron’s list provided; 90% of your monetary funding will be used in a form of a scholarship. With the cost of my education being covered by the USCGA, it was my initial idea to give back any additional money to my Kappa brothers who may need it.
