Dear Family and Friends, Today I am reaching out to everyone for a very special reason. Although this has been a rough 2 years of my life losing my Sister, Dominica, to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on October 25th, I want to help myself cope a little better with the grieving process and make a positive effort to do something about finding a cure for this nasty disease also known as Cancer that continues to ruin so many innocent lives and leaving families feeling helpless and heartbroken. To have to watch someone you love slowly slip away is brutal. Every year, for the past 11 years, I have been attending Team Theresa’s Softball Benefit’s in honor of Theresa Gigliotti and Alex Scott who passed away of Cancer. All proceeds go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. It is always such a beautiful fun event. This year it is planned for August 23rd and I am asking for everyone I know (if you are not a regular attendee already), to please either: come and have a great time supporting a great cause but if you can not; donate to the cause; volunteer your time the day of or helping to plan with ideas prior to etc.; create gift baskets for Chinese auction or selling basket-of cheer tickets; share this link helping to spread the word (there is plenty of time!); any resources or good ideas you may have to donate anything from activities, food, or arts and crafts for kids etc.; last but not least, I would like to this year for the first time build my own team, Team Dominica, in memory of my beautiful Sister Dominica Scott DiLuzio.
