Dear Family and Friends.... Whether you agree or disagree with the President of the United States - no matter Democrat or Republican - I ask you to please do these 3 things before making a post that will eventually become a post on my page... 1) Remember, he is our Commander in Chief, respect others - please remember we are talking about leaders (not just the President) that WE as Americans choose with a majority vote. Like it or not, that warrants an appropriate degree of respect - remember even in our own conversations - exact things can be said, yet perception of the person hearing it is face value. 2) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - when stating your critiques, addressed to either side, present an articulate, intelligent and researched based argument demonstrating a clear detailed understanding of the difference between opposing views and the strengths and the merit of your own - for instance- Policy X is dumb because party Y sucks is not an intelligent argument. If you are unable to do this on my post... You may want to think about other things you post or agree with without doing your due diligence... 3) Be aware many websites receive money based on the amount of hits they receive. They receive hits by generating an emotional response in you! Therefore their motive is to make money by presenting information that generates this emotional response so you will visit and share that article/website, not the dissemination of accurate, reliable information. Before sharing these, I would suggest taking the extra minute to do your due diligence and check on reliable sources. If you were doing a term paper - would your teacher question your source, if you have any doubt in your mind, chances are it is not reliable.
