Dear Francis Sufra Food Bank has been very busy recently, with nearly 40 families (that’s about 150 people) attending each week for emergency food supplies. Brent Council’s Welfare Assistance Team is now a registered Referral Agency, alongside over 40 other charities, surgeries, schools and welfare providers. Since October 2013, the Food Bank has served over 3,000 people. Please note that we can ONLY serve families with a valid voucher. Are you up for a challenge? - Charity Cycle 2014 In partnership with Al-Mizan Charitable Trust, we are organising a Charity Cycle on Sunday 13 April 2014 from Aldgate to Woking. It’s about 38 miles and cyclists of all shapes and sizes welcome! There will be plenty of breaks and all we ask you to do is raise a minimum sponsorship of £150. Food Collections in Your Area As you can imagine, the Food Bank is a major operation, requiring at least 5 tonnes of donated food on a monthly basis. Volunteer Recruitment BBQ We love our volunteers (existing and those wanting to join us) so we’re planning a Volunteer Recruitment BBQ.
