Dear Friends, At the outset, let me wish and hope that you and your families had a Fantastic & Fabulous Diwali! You will recall that some weeks ago I had posted some very captivating pictures of Ladakh. Just in case you thought I went to Leh and Ladakh only for fun, here is proof that it was also for a cause - to spread an idea through the platform of TED and TEDx. So here is that proof - the TEDx Talk which I gave at TEDxLeh on Aug 21 this year is now published, after due editing and review by the TEDx team. I am providing the link to the Talk here: https://youtube/watch?v=kH8_-0NN88s It is about 19 minutes long, so you do need patience. And possibly headphones for better clarity in the audio (do choose the HD option while playing on Youtube). You may find the generally high, overall TEDx standards you might be used to at other big city venues (like multiple camera angles, live audience shots, better picture/audio quality, etc.) not being met here. The venue, a small school auditorium, and the location, a high-altitude city with a sparse infrastructure, did not allow for very fancy accoutrements - acoustically perfect audi or Hi-Fidelity audio recording or very sophisticated camera equipment. You could say things were done on a shoestring budget. However, I hope these small shortcomings will allow viewers to focus more on the theme, ha ha! Hopefully this fledgling of an idea will catch on and spread through the power of social media. I request you to please do your bit for the idea by forwarding the link to as many in your network as possible. I know this was my first TEDx speech, and I also know I could have done better, and made it more lively and engaging. I am not as serious a person as you might think from viewing this video.
