NAIROBI, MAY 20, 2014 (CISA) -Retired Bishop of the military ordinariate Rt Rev Alfred Rotich has called upon faithful to join church lay organizations so as to strengthen their faith and service to God. “Our dear people who are not religious in the sense that you have not taken vows, ensure you join associations and the laity such as Catholic Men Associations (CMAs), Catholic Women Associations (CWAs). These associations truly reflect that you have known the formula that God has come to us, that God is Emmanuel,” Bishop Rotich said. The prelate added that Lay associations are important avenues for devotions since it ensured strengthening of the faith and urged believers who had not yet taken the initiative to consider joining the organizations for their own good. “Let us pray during this mass that the work that God has begun already in our hearts today may truly find a place in our society too and send a great statement to the whole world today that God is alive. He has given us life let us protect it through all means,” said Bishop Rotich during his homily when he presided a mass to officially open House of Charity children home on Sunday May 18 in Westlands, Nairobi.
