Dear Friends: I am committing hubris by releasing three films of exceptional... um, brevity (three minutes each) ... in Hollywoods traditional film-dumping month of January. They are trailers for my Dartmouth memoir, WHIPLASH: When the Vietnam War rolled a hand grenade into the Animal House -- scenes from the book filmed with USC film students that celebrate the daring political incorrectness of college life in the late 1960s. Help me celebrate those irresponsible days by viewing, liking, shilling for, passing along these rich tapestries of collegiate misbehavior to boomers who might have similar skeletons in their closets... or to their children and grandchildren who wish their college days could be as war-torn, fraught and memorable.
