Dear Friends, My sister Rebecca “Becky” Pettit, (the sister of Patty Oleska) age 59, of Shadyside, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014. She had been fighting cancer for six years, but last Friday her pet scan showed it hadn’t gotten any worse. It was the side effects: anemia (she had several blood transfusions), C diff, pneumonia, blood clots, chemo. She is survived by her husband, Dan, a son and daughter, a brother, and me. Visiting hours will be held at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, Shadyside, on Monday, March 31st, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon with the funeral Mass at Noon at St. Mary’s, E. 40th Street, Shadyside.
