Dear Friends, Special greetings for the New Year. I wish you - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends, Special greetings for the New Year. I wish you all the best, since if you walk with God, He will only give you what is best for you. Most, if not all of you, know my great love for camp and especially our Baptist Campsite at Goshen on the Essequibo River. I started attend camp in 1972 and can say without any doubt, ‘I have thoroughly enjoyed every year of it from that first time.’ The attraction has grown. Many of you reading this letter have had the experience of being there and have had great fun. You have been blessed as well by the exposure to spiritual and biblical teaching. I know your life has been changed for the better. Attendance has grown over the years and last July, we actually had to turn away some applicants because the facility could not accommodate any more. We have therefore developed a five year plan to improve the facility to cater comfortably for 200 persons (up from 120) and to upgrade the quality of the facility. This is where you come in. I am asking you to help us build 1 new cabin at the campsite for this camping season which begins in July. We know that because you were blessed spiritually and physically, you will be willing to assist. The total estimated cost to construct a new cabin now is G $1,000,000. We do not want to place any undue burden on any one person hence we know a reasonable request would be for each person to “buy a block.” At current prices in Bartica/Goshen, 1 block costs $140.guy. This means we can get about 7 blocks for G $1,000. If enough persons do respond, this can be an easy target to reach. We therefore ask that you prayerfully consider how much you can give to help us to realize the dream, of allowing more persons to have the opportunity to attend these life- changing weeks at camp. Please feel free to share with your family and friends and to forward this to others through whatever means you choose. All gifts/contributions should be forwarded to the Baptist Convention of Guyana. If you need any further information, I would be only too glad to assist. Thank you for helping us as we seek to evangelize through this manner. Yours truly Pas.
