Dear Friends, This is my direct request (if you are in the USA) that you contact your Senators and Congressional rep, right away. Tonight, tomorrow. And especially hold these good people in the Light on First Day. My son, Eli, of Adelphi Monthly Meeting, Baltimore Yearly Meeting, has been keeping the Peace Vigil for over a year now--classic Quaker, non-violent witness. A week ago, I had the privilege of holding his commitment, and that of his peers, in the Light, during worship at Pendle Hill. We need to show support for all our young people (and not so young), who devote their lives--in whatever way--to peace, justice and the earth. Tonight, it is the White House Vigil in particular needs you. Please speak up for our human right to free speech. Thank you.
