Some eye candy for your Tuesday. The description is copy & pasted from the Stove Hospitals site. WOW! We have just finished two unusual ranges from the Glenwood company. The two color unit is a Glenwood C (labeled as a Crescent) which is quite common, but not in this color option! We have heard of several of these in this color scheme over the last 40 years, but never had the chance to own one until now! As you can see by the picture, the colors do work well with each other and it really lights up the kitchen. It is a real treat for us at the shop to find a stove with original porcelain that can be saved and made presentable again. All too often time and general use has taken its toll and the porcelain generally has to go. The other stove is a Cabinet Glenwood K in gray porcelain with the matching overhead AND underslung warming closets! This particular stove was also ordered originally with what is known as the machined and oiled cooksurface. This was an optional extra that made for a super smooth and level cooktop. When ordered originally, I am sure the customer had in mind exactly what they wanted as is indicated by the several not-so-common options furnished on this one range. These two stoves are slated for wood burning service in rural New England, and both were ordered by one family! Each of these desirable ranges are sure to be focal points of the home as they were a century ago!
