Dear Friends, Today, our Nation is saddened and shocked by the latest murder that took place last night in our Federation. Although I do not know the victim personally, I know his family, in particular his precious daughter, and Tasha. I thus send out my warm and heartfelt condolences to the entire family. We can only speak words of comfort but in fact only close family members will feel the full impact of this tragic and senseless murder. I am so sorry, nobody deserve this! I say to citizens of St Kitts and Nevis, while we continue to focus on tearing down each other, the criminals are working together to rob, kill and destroy. Although it appears that criminals are winning, it is certainly not too late for us as a people to turn this around. The People have the ultimate power! No longer should The People sit and allow our Proud Nation to deteriorate. Over the past two weeks or so, The Hanley Group has been working on a Blue Brint on Crime and Youths. When completed, The Hanley Group will present a copy to both Local and Federal Governments and also our Royal St. Kitts and Nevis Police Department. We can never have too many ideas as a Nation, that is why it is very important that we all work together in order to execute this plan. A divided nation can never bring great results. The People must work together! We must not live in fear. Let us continue to give our support to our police. Let us continue to support our Local and Federal Governments in the fight against crime and violence. Criticism does not bring results. Finding solutions and working together as a People does. May God continue to look over and guide our Great Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, her citizens, friends and well-wishers.
