Dear Friends, We desperately need your help. Homeless - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends, We desperately need your help. Homeless kittens are arriving at Hi Tor every day -- often huddled together in cartons, with special needs, and dependent on bottle feeding. We are also taking in pregnant cats, mothers with babies, and some mothers who are still kittens themselves, since kittens can begin to have babies at the age of six months. The shelter is overflowing with kittens. Truly--overflowing. We took in 89 kittens in July alone, and we expect to take in another 600 this season. The sad fact is that, each year, thousands of kittens are born due to unspayed and unneutered cats in Rockland County. The situation is dire -- and the cost of providing these kittens with safe shelter, food and medical care is rising daily. Please consider making a contribution today. Your donation means more than we can say: * $ 25 will purchase 2 cans of kitten formula * $ 30 will buy 2 cases of much-needed canned kitten food (Momma cats also benefit from eating kitten food, as they need the extra calories and protein.) * $ 40 will purchase 2 bags of high-quality kitten dry food * $ 120 will purchase 1 climbing cage, a cage tall enough for little kitten muscles to climb and exercise (this is a high priority item needed for the Hi Tor kittens.) Please send your check to: Hi Tor Animal Care Center, P. O. Box 743, Nanuet, NY 10954. Or, if you prefer, simply donate via our website, hitor.org. You can also visit our Amazon wishlist at: amazon/gp/registry/wishlist/3NFIJNL8ZFUJL/ref=cm_wl_sortbar_o_page_1 Any gift -- great or small -- will make a difference. Of course, your gift is tax-deductible. On behalf of all of us here at the shelter, thank you. Lizanne Fiorentino President, Hi Tor Board of Directors
