Dear God, I come to you, first giving thanks, for all of the things youve done for me and my family. As a man, which you chose to make me, I sometimes feel the reigns slipping from my hands. And as any man would do, I opt to sit in silence and in hopes that you will come through and level me off. Youve never failed me. Trusting and waiting has been the story of my life. However, Im not complaining for in my waiting, all of my needs are met! God, Im so full of joy on this day. See, you know how tough this journey has been and youve been the only recipient of my deepest thoughts, wishes, hopes and dreams. I never knew what your plan would be, but I always knew that you had one in store for my good. Today, I say with pride and happiness filling my heart, THANK YOU! Thank you for Brandon Benefield, Loretta Elizabeth Benefield, Rafael Benefield and Sharetha Christine Benefield! The 4 siblings that watched me sprout into the man I am today. I love yall. Thank you for Christopher Jon Benefield and Rose Benefield. When you decided that these two blessings would be my parents, every angel in heaven saw the perfect blend and agreed. No 2 people on earth could have fulfilled the task of parenting us. God, thank you for Shunte Newmommy Gray and Marlon Gray! They gave me something so special that EVERYTIME I sit and look at my God-Children, tears form in the wells of my eyes. How they could trust me to hold such a position over their lives will never know. But I vow to be an exceptional example to them. I love my Myles and Sophia. God, thank you for my nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. EVERYTIME I feel like I know what is needed to succeed in life, I am reminded of the most important possession of mine, Love. They give me so much of it that hate has never stood a chance in my life. God, with all that I have to be thankful , you continue to bless me, and I continue to lift up my hands in praise. The newest addition to my life is amazing. Only you did it!
