Dear Groupmembers, I would like to share a special event with you: The three Dresden Art Academies invite all of you to attend an evening with music, culture, Image, Dance and multicultural encounters. Entry is for free, and if you like (this is especially for refugees) you would be picked up from home and brought back again afterwards. Food and beverages will be provided. People there, most artists and over 40 arts and music professors are really encouraged about it. hfmdd.de/aktuell/in-der-fremde/ This is, what the Invitation says: away from home Dialog – Tolerance – Integration Welcome to music, dance and conversation joint event of the three Dresden Art Academies „A stranger I arrived here, a stranger I go hence“ (Translated by William Mann) – the beginning of Schubert‘s „Winterreise“ („Winter Journey“). No words can describe better how the asylum seekers must feel about the unbearable circumstances of the PEGIDA demonstra- tions and also the disapproval of such actions by many artists and students. That is not the cosmopolitan, open-minded Dresden we know and want! An encounter with international and German students of all three Art Academies: Through music, image and movement our attitude towards intolerance will be brought to the center of attention. Our professors and employees will take the asylum-seekers to the concert and bring them back. The concert is free of charge. Food and beverages are provided.
