Dear Gulf Association Members and Athletes As the 2014 Junior Olympic Chairman I am happy to announce that we are confirmed to hold the 2014 Gulf Gloves Boxing Tournament on November 22, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Venue to be announced. (TBA) The purpose of this tournament is to help raise funds and stipend support for athletes traveling to State and National Championships throughout the United States. The main goal is to showcase our Junior Athletes with the best tournament possible. Organization of this Boxing event is underway and I cannot stress how important our promotional and advertising influence is for the success of our Gulf Association teams and athletes. Please notify members, friends, and family by all possible means of communication. Sponsors play a vital part in this event and we are in negotiations with sponsors who will assist with all areas of the tournament. if you know of any sponsors please recommend them to Chairman, David Pereida. This tournament is to help our state and national traveling athletes with the financial stability and support stipends that the athletes deserve. Through the wonderful sponsors we will also have a microphone choreographer, music DJ, local athletes and celebrities, host photographer, T-shirt give away, raffles, and a full concession stand. This tournament is open to Junior boxers 8-15 years and also open to senior boxers We will have pre matched bouts at the weigh ins on Saturday and Sunday for senior boxers not advancing to State Junior tournaments.
