Dear Heavenly Father, I come before your Holy presence - not because of my own merits - but through the merits of One who made it possible to approach your throne with boldness and confidence. I confess before you my faults and sins, asking for forgiveness and restoration of joy and peace. My Lord, I was nothing before Jesus made me a part of your family. I went from a pauper to a prince; from a pagan to a priceless treasure and the apple of your eye. Oh what a priceless Gift you gave to us over 2000 years ago! Oh what love, grace and mercy was demonstrated on the cross! I think of all the ways in which I have failed you and I cry with tears, woe is me. Please help me to have the wisdom and discernment to live a life pleasing to you - one of faithfulness, fruitfulness, and forgiveness. May every word and deed be a sweet savor before your throne; an aroma prepared for the King of kings. Bless now this wonderful group. Fill them with kindness and create within us all the spirit of unity, love and compassion. Weed out the tares and remove the sly and cunning serpent that slithers in the dust around our feet. Crush his head with thy powerful foot and eliminate his venomous threats. Now give those of us retiring to our beds a good and peaceful rest and give strength to those around the world just beginning their day.
