Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, today I come before You with a very specific request on behalf of the people struggling from day to day without financial resources. There is a great need for jobs in our communities because people desire to provide for their families. The imagery portrayed is false and we know people desire to want more and to have more. So for every person who has been diligently pursuing employment, I pray for an open door that no man can shut. I pray that companies begin to hire African Americans in spite of their first or last name, I pray that employers will bestow the grace similar to Raymond Burse who reduced his salary so that his employees could get a higher wage. I pray that companies like Walmart and McDonalds will work with their employees schedules so they can work and create a plan of action that will grant them options to move up the economic ladder. I also pray that people seeking employment not waver in their faith, they don’t give up in frustration and they don’t grow weary in this season for they will reap if they faint not. I know we will have the poor with us always but I also know favor works for those who truly serve You. So let Your favor flow for every person who wants to improve their quality of life. I do realize this great principle that has helped me at all economic stages of my life. We all have the ability to sow and pay it forward, regardless of where we are standing in our own lives because someone is always worse off then we are. So let us use wisdom in our willingness to sow. Let us not create handouts but help give people a hand up. I thank You because I expect people to begin calling me and telling me they were hired, they received a promotion and they opened a new business now in the mighty name of Jesus…AMEN!
