Dear Helen, Once again I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your donation to help stop the cruel and illegal dog meat trade. Only with your help can the suffering dogs in Thailand be saved. I’d like to tell you about achievements made possible only through your support. Generous Soi Dog supporters have enabled us to build shelters in northern Thailand for the dogs rescued from the dog meat trade. Around 1,500 dogs have been transferred from temporary shelters made for livestock to much improved, custom built dog shelters. These dogs are now getting the care they need and this is thanks to the support of the members of the Magic 1000 Club which funds the care and feeding of these dogs. This photo shows the arrival of 360 dogs to one of the newly constructed shelters. Despite our name, Soi Dog also helps the cats of Thailand and has a state of the art cat hospital. Bounty here is one of the many cats that you have helped. Bounty was found dumped outside the gate of the shelter with her two kittens, Biscuit and Bagel. They are all in relatively good health and we can only guess they were not wanted by their owner. Bounty and her 2 kittens highlight the importance of Soi Dog’s sterilisation program, which prevents the needless pain and suffering of thousands of kittens and puppies. Some great news! Biscuit and Bagel have gone to new homes. Bounty is still with us and waiting for a loving home. It’s easier than you might think to adopt from Soi Dog!
