Dear Hon. Edgar Lungu/Dr. Guy Scott It is my hope that you are well and doing great. My name is pilAto, some guy from the copperbelt and mostly regarded as crazy. Am sure you do not know me at all but obviously thats immaterial for now. Honourable, I just saw a video of your fellow Zambians being terrorised by fellow Zambians because they wanted to hold a political rally. I know politics demand that you justify such terroristic behaviour but am sure you are more human than you are political. Its really hard to stay quite after seeing a christian country falling that low. Honourable, you have a responsibility to fight this evil.... it may appear too distant for now but if you decide to tolerate it now, it will be too late to fight when it will be very close to you. This is not about politics but human life, the zest to killl as exhibited by the reported PF cadres is not ordinary in a country like ours. I cried when I saw Madam Mwanawasa running for her life, this is our mother within the borders of her country running like fugitive. Honourable, we humans tend to receive the kindness we give I therefore invite you to act in the benefit of humanity. Evil cannot be justified. I know you have credible people as advisors and obviously they have advised you to ignore the need to speak against your men with pangas but remember, the future is such a blank paper, it can become anything. Remember, the people that are willing to kill for you now, were ready to kill for Dr. Kaunda, they tortured the MMD leadership in all forms and fashion. When MMD came into power the same people were Ready to kill for Dr. Chiluba, Dr. Mwanawasa and Dr. Rupiah. They are the same people that fought the late president Mr. Sata. If you dont stop these panga wielding cadres now you will be setting them up for yourself in the future. They belong to anyone with power. Honourable, please note that the same people that are willing to kill for you now may also turn against you with the same energy and vigor. I ask that as a human being who has offered himself to lead people you act now and fast to end the savage behaviour as seen today. Protect yourself by protecting the dignity of other humans.
