Dear Indians, We are 55,000 signatures strong. The Election Commission hasn’t responded yet. The first phase of the voting begins in just 3 weeks. More than 23 lakh armed forces personnel may not vote unless the election commission makes it easier for them. Jagadeesh, we only have a few more days to avoid this. I need your help. I am meeting the Chief Election Commissioner, V.S. Sampath, about this on Friday. I believe it will be more powerful if you call him and ask him to take action immediately as well. Here is how you can do this : Call 011 23716552 or 011 23713689. Introduce yourself and tell them you want to talk to the chief election commissioner. You might get his secretary. If you get through to Mr.V.S.Sampath, ask him what is the Election Commission doing to make it easier for our armed forces to vote. Also tell him why you think this is important. If you don’t get through to him, leave a message with his secretary. Leave a comment on the petition about your conversation and share it on Facebook and Twitter. This way we can ensure that Mr. Sampath knows that it is an important issue and thousands of people are supporting it.
