Dear Interwoven Ones: On October 24th while conducting the funeral of a beloved Trinity Member, my speech began to slur. Went to ER at Nebraska Medical Center here in Omaha. The next morning, I underwent an ancient surgery known as burr hole evacuation for a subdural hematoma. My first of these was 11 years ago in Kansas City. This one was not as large, but still significant - and there was no known cause this time. Some 30 percent of all subdural hematoma have no specific cause. I am on reduced duty for a while, and another issue demands another unrelated surgery in early December. I thank all those who have sent cards, prayers and good wishes as I recover. My special thanks to the students of Miller Park Elementary whose cards have lifted my heart greatly and shown me that children still love to learn! I remain the most fortunate man who has ever lived. John
