Dear Kroger, I was a consumer of your Company before I became an employee. I shopped at the one close to my house which, might too, have been a Weingartens. I would frequent the Deli after discovering the fried chicken. Krogers fried chicken could be in a race for the best along side Frenchys. Now that I work for your company I believe there really are no coincedence. When I applied for a job with your company, I applied for a cashier position. I was told the only position that was open was a Deli Clerk. I needed to be employed so therefore I accepted the Deli Clerk position. May 5, 2014 was my first day working at Kroger 609. I had never worked in a Department that had reached its lowest point in a company. I truly wanted to walk away; but, I was at my lowest point in finances. I shopped at Kroger 312. I noticed after going to buy fried chicken it didnt taste the same and I wondered why. Now that I work in the Deli, I know why. Deli work is consistent and hard work and it cateres to a society too tried to cook. A Deli is the heart of a store. In order for the products to be fresh all utensils must be cleaned. When the grease is not filtered nightly of flour waste or changed frequently when it begins to look like oil the chicken will not be fresh. On my shift, I nightly filter the grease and appears to be the only one concerned enough to change the oil. In order to help your company, I focus on what needs to be done among the oppressed. I very seldom take breaks. I have inquired about a six months raise. I looked in my profile in Express HR. It stated the next time up for discussion was for July 30, 2015. Kroger is this true? Sincerely, JB37873
