Dear Lion King fans, Following my post yesterday I wanted to let you know that we have a possible season extension built into our contract with QPAC allowing us to play for 18 weeks – the longest run of any show in Brisbane for the last couple of decades. As a result of the amazing and overwhelming response at the box office yesterday, we have worked overnight and this morning with our friends at QPAC to confirm that extension. This means the show will play at the Lyric Theatre until Sunday 25th January 2015. It wont be possible to go beyond that date, as we have a confirmed season in Melbourne immediately following. We are currently loading those extra 48 shows into the system and they will go on sale on Tuesday. Please watch this page from midday on Monday for details of box office, call centre and online opening hours. The way Brisbane has embraced the show has taken us completely by surprise. We are incredibly grateful for your enthusiasm and have moved as quickly as we can to make more tickets available. Thank you so much. We can’t wait to get there. James Thane Executive Producer
