Dear Lord and Father, You are creator of the universe, the giver of all things including Your precious Son. He was without sin yet He died and took on Himself all the sins of mankind. When You created the world You said It is very good, and so it was until sin entered the world through that fallen angel satan, and all of mankind since has been tainted and hence forced away from a relationship with You. It was to rectify this that You sent Jesus to pay the price for our sins. Only He could do this, as we, in our own strength, couldnt do it. For that I will be eternally grateful. Thank-you Lord Jesus for taking me and many out of the dominion of sin. That is to say that because of what You did on the cross, we have been able to enter into relationship with You, and You have taken away out heart of stone and given us a heart of flesh. That is not to say that we no longer sin, but we can now confess our sins to You and You have promised to forgive our sins, and remember them no more. Thank-you Jesus. Lord when You were here on earth, you wept over Jerusalem. How much more must you be weeping now considering all of the terrible things that are happening in the world today. Lord I would like to focus in on the Middle-East. I too am weeping over Jerusalem. All of the conflicts that are happening in Your Holy City. I ask Lord that Your will be done for that place. However the major area on concern is the war zone in Iraq and Syria. There is the Islamic State trying to impose Sunni beliefs and Sharia law. They are following their understanding of the teachings of their prophet Mohammed. This has lead to great brutality including torture, rape and executions including beheadings, burning alive and seemingly any warped means of assasination these people can come up with. I believe that You are using all of these atrocities as a shaking to bring people back to You oh Lord. My heart goes out to all the innocent victims caught up in this turmoil. I would ask Lord that you be with all people involved, and give them your peace and strength. Particularly I would bring to You the children, known to You from before the beginning of the world, and through no fault of theirs being subjected to the barbaric actions of sinful men. I lift all of them to You Lord and ask that though all of this You give them a peace that passes all understanding. Much as it goes against my human nature, we are told to pray for our enemies, so Lord I lift to you all members of ISIS who are carrying out all of these barbarisms. All things are possible for You oh Lord, and so I ask that You soften their hearts of stone and let them realise their wrongs, and that some come to know You as Lord and Saviour. Dear Lord, I ask all of these things through You glorious Son, my Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Christ. Amen.>
