Dear Lord, loving Jesus, save me from the vain imaginings of my heart, those conjured up by my own willfulness, and those planted by the deceit of that fallen angel Lucifer, who attempts to set the fate for our created order by leading us in his pathway of pride, arrogance, and darkness. Lead me into the light, and set me on the pathway to the destiny you have for me, in the company of the saints in light, the blessed hopeful, the cloud of witnesses - and, here and now, in the midst of the faithful. Strengthen me Lord, that I may proclaim your Gospel in truth and light, as an instrument of reconciliation and salvation, with true purpose and cause divined by you, and not caught up in the manipulation of others for the satiation of my own desires, but out of true love for you, and the love of all of humankind.
