Dear Mayor Berry and the city of Albuquerque... I would ask that - TopicsExpress

Dear Mayor Berry and the city of Albuquerque... I would ask that the city respect citizens rights to express themselves and their outrage over the killing of James Boyd. I would ask that you leave protesters and the citizens of Albuquerque alone to express their constitutional rights to free speech and assembly. James Boyd had already lost his life, the police did not need to rob him of his physical life. God knows he was helpless, the foothills are without water, shelter, or food. Instead of ganging up on him and scaring him, why wasnt he offered food, shelter, a blanket. That is the Christ like thing to do. Why wasnt a stun gun used. Why was he treated as target practice? Ill tell you why, he was homeless and albuquerque doesnt care about homeless people. Look along the rail runner corridor? Albuquerque needs to have a higher standard. At least now James is in a better place, but he didnt need to be shot. Please allow citizens to vent, that is all we are doing on Sunday, because for some of us our conscience is bothered by what happened. Dont threaten or harm us either. We feel wronged by this travesty. And in america we are supposed to have the right to assemble and the right to freedom of speech, the city will do more harm then good, by disrupting or arresting protesters who are seeking attention for this crime. Thank you, city of albuquerque and Mayor Berry. May the life of James Boyd not be in vain but now be used to help the homeless. Sincerely Robert Rob P Francis
