Dear Members Thardeep Rural Development Programme (TRDP) is a non-profit organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 working in the rural areas of Tharparkar, Umerkot, Dadu and Jamshoro districts of Sindh, Pakistan. The programme is aimed at facilitating the rural communities in a way that they can be empowered to secure their rights with command over resources and capabilities to manage the process of sustainable development. Vacancies available under UN WOMEN FUNDED PROJECT:- UN Women funded project focuses on 5,000 poor indigenous women Home Based Workers (HBW) and their communities from remote, rural, desert area are reached by the programme through training, capacity building, public awareness and policy advocacy. Project staff under this project is based at HRD office Mithi at Tharparkar. JOB Title Responsibilities Reporting line Posting Place Social Organizer –Female (02 Position) - conduct meeting with community and analyze and identify home based workers, - To form HBW groups and conducting their regular meeting. - Facilitate Training coordinator in identifying appropriate HBW for getting training. - Promote volunteers at the village level as active partners in the process of social mobilization and developing and strengthening Will report to Project Manager Mithi Embroidery Supervisor-Female (01 Position) - Is responsible to work in close coordination with Manager Design and product Development, - Distribution and collection if embroidered sample facilitate in Grading HBWAs’ work samples - Ensure documentation and Management of information Will report to Project Manager Mithi Person Specifications: - - Age not below 20 years and not above 45 years on July 20 , 2014. - Master / Bachelor Degree in Sociology, or relevant field with experience of 1 and half year. - Ability to organize in-house and community based dialogues in line with community needs and programme objectives. - Ability to assess and evaluate training needs of community and implement HRD inputs accordingly. - Ability to manage flexible working hours with occasional evening and weekend work. - Willingness to stay and travel in hard climate of Tharparkar and ability to work under tight deadlines. - Preference would be given to female candidates from District Tharparkar with good skills in written and spoken Sindhi, Dhatki.
