Dear Mister Arvind Kejriwal, Those who supported your - TopicsExpress

Dear Mister Arvind Kejriwal, Those who supported your larger-than-life crusade against corruption were eagerly awaiting the dawn of a new era which was supposed to be free of corruption, full of safety and security and more productive in terms of the country spending less time before the television. But the saddest fact is that your foray into the electoral politics has proved to be disastrous. Your much-hyped tour of Gujarat is the tipping point from which there are many lessons for the entire country and for your supporters and non-supporters alike. One thing that has become clear as day is that you know the importance of perfect timing. You proceeded to Gujarat with media in tow and started rubbishing the Gujarat Model of Development as soon as you set your foot in Gujarat. The peace loving people of Gujarat waved black flags at your convoy but it appears now that this was the type of welcome you exactly wanted since your sights were trained beyond what a common man cannot see. Since you believe in dashing off letters asking grilling questions to your imaginary detractors, the aam admi of India too wants to adopt the same approach while dealing with you. Here therefore, are 16 questions for you to ponder over and answer. Kejriwal’s daily tamasha poisons polity with lies 1. You became the Chief Minister of Delhi after holding a referendum asking the people of Delhi whether you should take the support of the Congress and form the Government. You made the country believe that the people of Delhi were in favour of your party forming a minority Government and formed the Government that didn’t even last 50 days. While pulling out of the Government, why didn’t it occur to you to take the same referendum route? What made you take the call to quit in such a tearing hurry without consulting people? 2. Why do you make promises when you do not have even the slightest intention of keeping them? Why do you believe so much in promises since your actions are impulsive and decisions are arrived at in the heat of the moment? You promised to go after the big guns of the Congress after assuming power. But you did nothing to implement that promise and your party has now come to widely recognised as the B-Team of Congress. I can cite many more unkept promises of you and your party but the list is really endless. 3. You are dead against corruption. But you have never attacked Robert Vadra, the infamous son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi. On the other hand, you have deflected attention by training your guns on the Reliance owner Mukesh Ambani. Why is it so? Are you trying to project yourself as a larger than life hero of modern times who is not scared of the rich and mighty? 4. You accused the Delhi LT Najeeb Jung of acting as a Congress agent while you were the Chief Minister of Delhi. But your false bravado points to the possibility that you too are acting at somebody else’s behest. Are you also a Congress agent or has some international secret agency hired you to create instability and anarchy all over India ahead of the Lok Sabha election? Dear Mister Kejriwal: Here is what you SHOULD ask Modi 5. While talking to reporters, you consciously try and use expressions like the truth, honesty, integrity, nation and countrymen that help you present the image of a go-getter and no-nonsense man on the screen. But the reality is that you shielded your erring ex Law Minister of Delhi who was guilty of harassing innocent foreign women and later on he was found out as a habitual spammer. At that time, why did you bury the truth and never advocated honesty and integrity? 6. While taking about yourself to others, you address yourself as Arvind Kejriwal. Are there two Arvind Kejriwals and only one of them is known to public? Where is the other Arvind Kejriwal and when do you plan to bring him out in open? 7. You hated the Congress the most. But what exactly has changed between you and the Congress in last few days? As the election approaches nearer, the Congress leaders are showering more praise on you. Is there a secret deal between you and the Congress? If yes, would you like to make it public? 8. Why did you undertake the highly dramatic trip to Gujarat in the first place? What is it that you are to trying to find out? Why did you accuse the Gujarat police of having detained you in a police station when all they had done was to request you to let them see proper permission for the roadshow you were trying to conduct since the Model Code of Conduct had kicked in? 9. What exactly worries you about Gujarat and the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi? Why this sudden interest in the Gujarat model of development which has been championed successfully by CM Narendra Modi? Are you feeling you lost a godsent opportunity yourself as a CM and there is a lot to learn from Gujarat and its model of governance? 10. Why the duplicitous obsession with corporates? Why do you ask the Ambanis and the Adanis about the pricing of the natural gas and say nothing about the corporates who have lent support to your political party? Kejriwal uses cheap drama to hide his failings 11. You sent storm troopers to the BJP’s Delhi headquarters and created mayhem. Were you trying to take revenge for the black flags shown to your convoy in Gujarat? Why do you want India’s most disciplined party to give you importance? Why this hunger for attention? 12. Narendra Modi loves to drink tea. But the fact remains that his busy schedule does not allow him any flexibility. Prior appointment is a must to seek an audience with him. He is the next Prime Minister of India and not a lightweight. Why don’t you learn to show respect towards achievers? Don’t you appreciate the importance of prior appointments? 13. You are a lucky common man who has a fleet of sleek gas-guzzling vehicles at his disposal even in Gujarat. Where does all this pomp come from? Is there any transparency in your party’s fundings? 14. Why has the much-talked-about austerity died a natural death in your scheme of things? Why this desire for oneupmanship and insistence on exclusive chartered plane to airdrop you from Jaipur to Delhi to enable you attend high profile events on time? Why a whole set of different rules for you? An sensible explanation would be appreciated. 15. Do you really plan to contest Lok Sabha election against Narendra Modi? Don’t you think that against your anarchy his development will win hands down? 16. Who is the real Arvind Kejriwal? A tattletale, or a serious politician trying to make a difference, or a prop to needle Narendra Modi with for the Congress? Hope to have these answers from you some day. Regards, An aam admi
