Dear Mr. CNN, Mr. CBS, Mr. NBC, Mr. ABC, and Mr. FOX, Id like you to know that I ventured out today in an attempt to finish my Christmas shopping on what YOU refer to as PANIC SATURDAY. Frankly? Today, I saw NO ONE panicking. As if you havent done enough already this year to fuel the fires of racism, bigotry, and so on...you throw your last dagger at Christmas. So, let me just say... While PEACEFULLY driving to my shopping destinations today, I passed a fire department in Copenhagen whos sign read: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS... I wasnt offended! And, as a matter of fact? I almost took my hands off of the steering wheel to applaud whoever put up the sign. Because I KNOW that your 5 broadcasting stations would NEVER dare to cover a story like THAT!!! As I entered the chaos of the hub of shopping activity? Yes, traffic was horrific. But, what I witnessed was drivers (including myself) over and over passing off a green light or a stop sign to wave on stranded vehicles instead. They were giving up selfishness for the better cause. Inside stores? I saw shoppers pulling their carts to a hault, so that others could get by. I wished a Merry Christmas to many cashiers and they actually wished it back!!!! [Screw YOU Corporate America and your Happy Holiday crap.] I met a French-Canadian couple in a store and we worked together to solve a gift mystery at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Have no idea who they were...they had no idea who I was. Point being? I overheard ONE comment by her, which was passed on to her husband, which resulted in a multi-national hunt for the truth. And, in the end, we wished each other a MERRY CHRISTMAS. I was the welcome recipient of many people holding the door for me today...and I held the door for many as well. Have no idea what their history was - neither did they. I guess what Im trying to say Mr. CNN, Mr. CBS, Mr. NBC, Mr. ABC, and Mr. FOX, is... Stop covering the NEGATIVE crap and start focusing on the positive stories. Wonder what would happen if we all did that for one week...
