Dear Mr.McNary. Im not sure youll remember this, but as an 8th grade student in your study hall class, you made sure to stand up for me when the same asshole students were continually picking on me. Not only in your classroom, but also out in the hallways when the school failed to support or defend me for many years. You showed me that teachers do care, and they do see the bullshit. You always let us use the white board to doodle or do homework on, and when I was really struggling with math, you helped lay it out in a way that was easier for me to understand. You had a large part in absolutely cementing the part of my personality that will always stand for the underdog--always show compassion for those that are deserving but rejected, those that need the backing of someone stronger or more willful. Youre an awesome person.
