Dear Mr. Reagan, I wanted to thank you for your article - TopicsExpress

Dear Mr. Reagan, I wanted to thank you for your article explaining your fathers veto of economic sanctions against South Africa. This article brought crystal clarity to an issue that had confused me. I do find it sad that you apparently deem it necessary to insult, degrade, belittle and unabashedly disrespect every person who disagrees with you. Even though this is the current normative state for political discourse in America today I hope you will stop this culturally degrading communication strategy. It is not consistent with your fathers legacy, it is disrespectful to the American people, and; it is unworthy of this great nation. Respecting the opinions and efforts of others is always the more effective and socially healthier approach. You have some very great thoughts, yet as I read I feel that your writings lose persuasive power as my mind has to constantly hop-over and step-past a veritable stream of insults that seem to obsessively burp out of your brain to then slather and swackingly smack the people you disagree with. I think you would have more voltage in the action-potential of your ideas if you were always respectful to everyone, even those stupid enough to think or perceive differently than you. I do appreciate your efforts to contribute to a better world. Please consider giving consideration to these well-intentioned thoughts of mine. I am confident that if your writings were respectful to all, your ideas would be given greater regard by more people. You would also be contributing to a socially healthier culture. Best wishes to you and your family.
